FAVOURITE ROOM IN YOUR HOUSE AND WHY:

My favourite room would have to be my bedroom. I love the morning light that filters through the sheer curtains. The mood is calm and tranquil.

3 WORDS TO DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE

Contemporary, colourful, textural…whilst always keeping in mind context to people’s lifestyle and their environment.

3 TOP HOMEWARES/FURNITURE STORES TO VISIT IN MELBOURNE:

My all-time favourite is Great Dane Furniture. Love Artemide for lighting and Safari Living is wonderful for accessories.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF IN YOUR HOME?

I buy pieces that appeal to my heart. You should never underestimate how a piece can make you feel.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR NEXT PURCHASE FOR YOUR HOME?

I have my eye on the September chair from Great Dane. Designed by Dennis Marquart for OX.

NAME TWO ITEMS YOU SHOULD NEVER SKIMP ON IN YOUR HOME:

Lighting and quality materials

MESSY OR NEAT?

There’s always a method of madness is my home, so messy always wins!

BEST DESIGN/DECORATING TIP YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS:

Don’t over think your home and what others may like. Stay true to your style and fill it with pieces that make you smile.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR DESIGN INSPIRATION FROM?

Travelling; I am addicted to the colour, texture and craftsmanship that is characteristic of these countries. Over the years I have spent months on end rummaging through markets and bazaars and meeting artists that have inspired me. I have since launched a range of legendary bone inlay furniture from India. Pieces that can be ordered as is, or customised to suit siz, pattern and colour of choice!

A STICKY BEAK INSIDE MY HOME

WELCOME TO MY HOME!!!

I realised that those of you who are not following me on Instagram may not have seen many photos of my home.  So, here it is! We were lucky enough to build a new home and moved in just over 3 years ago.  I must say, I am still in love with it and feel extremely lucky.  What I love most is that I feel it’s a real expression of who I am and of my design personality.  When you chose things that you love (they don’t need to be the most expensive) it creates a certain warmth.  Hope you enjoy.xxx

I love a HUGE door and wide corridors!

myhome3

We needed to let more light into this room and after looking at the plans for hours and hours I came up with this solution.

I also love my LOOM rug which really is a piece of art.

myhome1

This is our formal lounge and dining.  The table fits 16 when needed – which is pretty often!

myhome6

My hanging bottles – using fishing wire.

myhome7

The most used room in the house – the open plan kitchen/living.  I’m a major Mark Tuckey fan.

The ensuite.  I could never use white marble in the kitchen (scared of staining) but this marble is perfect for our bathroom.

Kids bathroom – lucky kids!!!!
